How Do I Know I Am Saved

Does the Bible say anything about our salvation being a once and for all situation? So many of the things the Bible says people go to hell for, can be found still unresolved in one’s own life. This contradicts what we were told when we were converted to Christ! The underlying paradox is the source of our uncertainty. What does scripture say about the certainty of salvation and going to heaven?
